Woman swings baby through the air while man holds toddler on his shoulders in the background in backyard summer session.

Backyard Summer Session | Warren OH | The Mock Family

This backyard summer session with one of my favorite families was everything I love about lifestyle photography. Meghan and Gene are in a season of “littles,” and it is one of my favorite seasons to capture for families, because it truly is so fleeting. Wyatt is the sweetest toddler, and Baby Wes just turned 6 months old! Life right now for the Mock family is a lot of bottles and bubbles and snuggles and wild bath times, but it is just the best. Meghan texted me a few months ago saying that she was giving Wes his evening snuggles before bedtime and enjoying the way the sunshine filtered in through his room, and she just wanted to capture those moments she cherishes so much. So THAT, my friends, is just what we did. Spending evenings like this with families and my camera are such a reminder that alllll the little “everyday” moments that can feel mundane when you do them day after day, really are the times that we will look back on and love. Bare baby tootsies in the summer grass, monster trucks in the dirt, bath time shenanigans….life is beautiful.

Meghan and Gene, thank you for trusting me yet again with documenting the story of your family and the life you have built together. You know I love you, and those babies too!!
