Every love story is beautiful, but every time I get to photograph a wedding day for high school sweethearts, something always feels a little *extra* special. I think it’s just the fact that this amazing day has been such a long time coming, and the excitement and anticipation of family and friends is so palpable! Rachel and Jack started dating when they were just 16 and 18, and though their journey had some twists and turns, it finally brought them to their wedding day, nearly seven years later. These two have the kind of comfort with each other that comes from growing up and navigating so many phases of life together, and I’m pretty sure that anyone who knows them will tell you their JOY is what stands out! From the moment I saw Rachel as she was getting ready with her girls, her face was lit up with the biggest smile! Her groom was grinning ear to ear as her father walked her down the aisle to the altar, and this was a ceremony that held no room for tears….just laughter and smiles! And to prove the love and support they have from their family and friends, I have to mention that their church was filled to the brim with loved ones who came to witness their marriage ceremony! It was a sight to behold. The celebration continued at their reception at Leo’s Ristorante in Howland OH, and oh the DANCING! The Vallas and Trickett families sure know how to bring the party! From the morning preparations to sunset portraits during their reception, every minute with Rachel and Jack was amazing.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Trickett, we had the BEST day with you celebrating your marriage! The adventure is just beginning!

These shoes!! Rachel wore these babies the entire day!
This handkerchief came with a doll that Rachel had as a little girl, and it was embroidered for her to carry on her wedding day!
I think Rachel and her mama look more like sisters! Beautiful ladies, inside and out.
Dad just couldn’t wait to see his little girl as a bride! The first tears of the day!
Jack surprised his bride with this beautiful necklace! He picked it out all by himself, and it’s just perfect!
Looking mighty dapper there, sir!
The big moment! Rachel and Jack got married at their church in Hubbard, and it was standing room only! Wall to wall was packed with their loved ones!
BRIDE TRIBE
Ain’t no party like a bridal party.

Rachel’s daddio was just glowing with pride allll day long :)
Sunset portraits!!! We snuck out for a few minutes just in time to catch that glowy golden hour light, and these are some of my favorite portraits! And this was just a tiny little patch of grass in the back parking lot, but Rachel + Jack make it look beautiful!
Best day ever!!! We love you Rachel and Jack!!
