Being a photographer in the Youngstown area is awesome.  We have something unique here, and that is community.  Being an entrepreneur can get a little lonely sometimes, but when you build friendships with other people who are in the same boat as you, it is exciting to cheer other business owners on!  I love when I have the chance to photograph other photographers, because choosing community over competition is always better than picking solitude.

Last week I got to meet the beautiful Joey Miller, who is the talented mama behind Cutetiful Kids Photography!  Joey specializes in children’s photography, and she was looking for some new headshots to show off the lady behind the camera!  This was my first time meeting Joey, but she instantly makes you feel like an old friend!  We met at one of my favorite coffee shops in town, Generations Coffee House.  Over lattes, I got to hear more about how Joey balances both being a mother and a business owner, and how passionate she is about photography.  She has such a creative eye, and I absolutely love her sense of style!  She is a Target shopper, so basically she is a woman after my own heart.  Loved this outfit so much!  We took advantage of the last bit of summer sunshine dipping over the town to capture some golden glow in her portraits, and I love every single one!  P.S. Joey can totally smize, and I am jealous.  I cannot pull off the smize, no matter how well Tyra demonstrates it for us.
