Throughout the past year of wedding planning with Abby and Tyler, I constantly had to laugh at how often she said the phrase “I really don’t care” 😆 In the good kind of way! Some brides have a super detailed vision of how they want to plan their wedding day, while Abby just knew she wanted to marry Tyler and the rest was details. Knowing that Abby was so go-with-the-flow, I was looking forward to this summer wedding at Oak Lodge in the BEST way! I had never been here before, and I absolutely fell in love with the vision Abby shared with me. All their family and bridal party were staying at the adorable cabins tucked in the woods of the lodge property, guys were getting ready at the Main Lodge, and the ladies got to spend the morning in the Eagle’s Nest having such a blast together before Abby went out to meet Tyler for their First Look. The property at Oak Lodge is just stunning – it is tucked into the mountainous woods of the Laurel Highlands, and Mother Nature is the most stunning backdrop to this getaway.

The First Look….oh I am so happy these two chose to spend time together before their day hit the ground running. They had handwritten vows they knew they wanted to exchange outside of their ceremony, and this was the perfect opportunity to share them. So many tears! The best kind, overflowing from the joy both Abby and Tyler had at finally arriving at their long-awaited wedding day. After their time alone together, their amazing bridal party joined us for photos, and what a crowd. The ultimate hype group! So many of the people in this bridal party were lifers….friends from diapers and grade school. Those kinds of friendships are always such a joy to witness on wedding days. From bridal party portraits we all headed up the hill to the log cabin chapel where the ceremony was held, followed by cocktail hour and the dinner celebration. As soon as the dance floor opened up under the twinkle lights, guests were ready to PARTY! DJ Crush had the party going nonstop from the first song until late into the night!

Abby and Tyler, I can’t thank you enough for inviting me along for the ride! You’re the best kinda people, and your wedding day was a beautiful reflection of that. Cheers to the beginning of your beautiful marriage my friends!
