Welcoming your first baby into your family rocks your world in the wildest way. You’ve never been so tired but also so in love in your entire life….it’s a crazy feeling! Getting to watch other families experience it for the first time is so awesome, and being able to capture milestone portraits of their new family during such a fleeting time is precious. Chelsey and Randall welcomed their son Roman Paul into the world, and it was a joy to get to meet him and capture his lifestyle newborn session at their home in Berlin Center. Chelsey loved the idea of keeping these super minimalistic and neutral, with all the focus on Roman. Which is always my favorite approach to newborn portraits! All the focus on those little fingers and toes, without any distractions. Seeing the love these new parents have for their babe just made my heart overflow – Roman, you have two amazing parents! Baby Roman required about ten snacks during our time together, and refused to be anywhere but in his mama’s arms. Buddy, I don’t blame you one bit. Entering the outside world is a tough adjustment, snacks and mama snuggles can really help you deal.
