Intimate Wedding at Fellows Riverside Gardens | Youngstown OH | Dana + Tyler
In May of 2020, Dana and Tyler found themselves faced with the difficult decision of postponing their wedding due to the covid pandemic. They had already anticipated this day for so long, and waiting an additional year was not an easy choice to make. But they ultimately decided that they wanted to celebrate their vows with their family surrounding them, and so the date was moved to June of 2021 and we waited some more! Well let me tell you friends, this day was FILLED to the brim with so much JOY. Dana was positively beaming when I arrived at her parents’ home where she and her girls were getting ready. She was so calm and ready to begin her marriage to Tyler. Her father walked her down the beautiful garden aisle at Fellows Riverside Gardens where Tyler was waiting for her in the Kidston Pavilion, and together they promised to love each other forever, in the good and the bad. For their unity ceremony, they planted a tree using soil from Tyler’s hometown of Bloomington, Indiana, and from Dana’s father’s garden in the backyard where she grew up. When they finally sealed it with a kiss, I’m pretty sure they got a standing ovation!
Taking portraits with their bridal party following the ceremony, the contagious joy bubbled over out of all their bridesmaids and groomsmen, and I just knew these guys were ready to party! From the moment the dance floor opened up with the live band to the final encore, guests were on their feet and having the best time dancing with the newlyweds. Mr. and Mrs. Henke, I am so happy for you two and am cheering you on as you begin your marriage journey! Absolutely worth the wait!
