Cait and Grant live in Chicago, so when they contacted me about being their wedding photographer our “meeting” was via FaceTime.  I kinda fell in love with them through our phone screens, and could not WAIT for their trip back home to Ohio so we could hang out in person at their engagement session!  Last weekend we met up at Lock 15 Brewing Co. in Akron while they were in town for some family time, and it was the perfect meeting spot for us to chat a bit before exploring downtown Akron.  These two have the most fun personalities, and sitting with them for the first time felt like meeting up with old friends.  They are just those kind of people! If you’ve never heard the story of their first date, you HAVE to ask them to tell you!  They met through mutual friends and bonded over lobster dinner, and their relationship continued to blossom over the years. They are just the perfect pair!  And they are podcast junkies too, so of course we bonded right away.  I think my favorite thing about this shoot was that we didn’t have much of a plan setting out!  We decided to meet and wander downtown Akron together with my camera, and honestly “winging it” is such a fun way to take photos.  Sometimes less planning is better.  Enjoy some of my favorite shots from Cait and Grant’s downtown Akron engagement session!
