I think one of my favorite things about toddlers is that it’s truly the little things in life that make them happy.  I spent an afternoon with Krista and Chris and their daughter Abbey in their home last week, and was reminded of the simple joys!  All Abbey wanted was to play on her parent’s bed (a super special treat!) and to enjoy her snack cup.  That’s not asking so much, right?!  Abbey absolutely loves when her daddy throws her on the bed and tickles her and hugs her and makes her laugh that big ol’ belly laugh that kids do.  So that’s just what we did!  We hung out in Chris and Krista’s room, and Abbey was in heaven.  This almost-two-year-old is a snuggly love bug, and she just loves giving hugs and kisses and lovin on her parents.  We took some snack breaks and read some books, and then we jumped on the bed some more.  The Minottis are getting ready to welcome Baby #2 this summer, and I cannot wait to meet this little one!!  Abbey is going to be such a great big sister, with plenty of hugs and kisses for the new addition.  Chris and Krista aren’t finding out the gender, which I just LOVE!  It’s like the best surprise ever!  So stay tuned for their newborn session in a few months to find out the answer – boy or girl?!  Eeeek!  I can hardly wait!  For now, enjoy this cozy home session celebrating Abbey’s second birthday and the excitement of the new baby coming soon!
