It took it’s good ol’ time getting here, but winter has ARRIVED y’all! BRRRR!! This past week it has really started feeling like Christmas, especially with the blanket of snow covering the ground and the snowflakes that keep falling. And I personally think the soft snow and muted colors of winter make for the most romantic backdrop for sessions. Adrienne and Rob got engaged last Christmas (he surprised her with a proposal while opening gifts with her family!), and they went ice skating on their first date. When we began planning what we wanted to do for their engagement session, I immediately thought of PPG Place in Pittsburgh. The ice rink surrounding the larger than life Christmas tree is reminiscent of Rockefeller Center in NYC, with groups of friends and families circling the ice, laughter filling the air. A short walk from the ice rink is the quaint little market place set up in the square, with vendors selling hand crafted items and roasted chestnuts and a line wrapping around the square to meet Santa. It was bitter cold on Sunday, but Adrienne and Rob were total troopers and didn’t even complain once! We started off on a deserted little street we had all to ourselves, and when you discover little nooks like that, it means you get to slow dance and snuggle in the middle of the street and no one even bothers you! From there we walked the streets of the market and took in the magic of the ice rink, and stopped here and there for some camera clicks along the way. Adrienne and Rob are two beautiful souls, with the sweetest love story that is just getting started. Good thing you both went to that Sheryl Crow concert – just look where it got you! Hopefully your September wedding day will be a little warmer than this….I can’t wait! Here are just some of my favorite moments from Adrienne and Rob’s PPG Place Christmas Engagement session!
Like something out of a movie, right?
Adrienne, you are a total babe!! Yowza!! Those dimples kill me.
Rob forgot gloves so he had to use Adrienne’s to keep his fingers from freezing!
How perfect is her dress?! A little sparkle and sass was the perfect choice for a city engagement sesh!
These ones might be my favorite!!
Babes.
