“So, where are you guys headed next?”

If only I could count how many times Ben and I have been asked this question!  And it’s a totally legit question, because we have a tendency to wander here and there and everywhere in between.  Ben took his first travel assignment in San Diego last January, and 2015 has been such an incredible year of exploring new places.  Being in Ohio for the fall was all sorts of wonderful, because 1) Ohio autumn is one of a kind, and 2) because we got to spend time with our families and enjoy the holidays together.  Not to mention all of the wonderful clients I was able to photograph this fall!!  My heart and calendar were full from all the wonderful people in front of my camera, I am truly the luckiest photographer!

So although we have loved being home, these travelers are hitting the road once more!  We are leaving this weekend for a new adventure in Tacoma, Washington!  Bring on the foggy mountains, and good coffee, and rainy winter days – we cannot wait!  Ben and I are excited for another road trip west, and a new place to explore.  Not a day goes by that we don’t realize how fortunate we are to be able to enjoy traveling together in this season of life, because we know it won’t always be possible to pack our bags and hop in the car.  Ben is such a hard worker, and the best nurse around – I’m not even saying that because I’m biased!  It’s the truth!  I am thankful for a hard-working husband who allows us to travel for his job, and a career that lets my schedule be flexible to join him on the road.  We cannot wait to see all of the beauty that Washington state has to offer, and the thrill of a new adventure together.

Because every blog post is better with some pretty pictures, I’m sharing our Christmas photos my sister snapped for us in her backyard this year!  We had a few minutes of daylight left on a magically foggy afternoon, and these photos are how I envision the Pacific Northwest to look :)  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Pecchias!
