Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to the Roberts family! If you’ve heard me talk about home sessions before, you know that nothing beats the uniqueness of shooting inside your home, and every imperfect little detail. Home is where real life happens. Home is bare feet and laughter down the hall and hide and seek in the closets. Home is where memories are made. David and Becky invited me into their home for a morning to capture life with their littles, Noah and Hadley. This was my first time meeting this wonderful family of four, and David and Becky are two of the most welcoming and comfortable people I’ve ever met. They invited me into their home as if it were my home too! Their kiddos are so sweet, in that wonderful way that toddlers are. We had a blast tickling on the couch, enjoying a tea party in the kitchen, playing on the porch, and jumping on the bed. The stuff home session dreams are made of, every minute of it! I have so many new favorite family portraits from this session, and it all comes down to being a part of the real life moments that happen every day. But I just happened to be there…with my camera :)
David works for the railroad, and so did his grandfather. This drawing in their living room was drawn by David’s grandfather when he was in college!
If Hadley’s face can’t make you smile, nothing will!
I love Noah’s eyes! What a handsome little guy!
Sometimes learning to walk is hard. Don’t worry Hadley, you’ll get the hang of it!
That little stinker face!
Because sometimes, it’s easier to get the fur-babies to look at the camera than the kiddos ;)
