I sure have gotten to snuggle/photograph an awful lot of sweet babies recently!  New baby smell is the best smell ever I think.  The sweet powdery softness of their skin just makes the world feel ok, you know?  Baby Jack was just 8 days old when I got to meet him, and as sweet as they come!  Now I’ve photographed a lot of newborns, and it seems that the majority of them are way too sleepy to even crack an eye open at my camera.  Not Jack!  I couldn’t get over how alert he was!  He’d take a little nap, then open his eyes and check out everyone who wanted to hold him.  Heather and Tim are head over heels for their new addition, and big sister Emily is pretty excited about the new guy too!  And I have to include Dixie as well, the furry firstborn of the Bauman crew ;)  I had such a fun morning with this family, and I love that they are the kind of household that makes you feel like family by the time you leave.  You’re a lucky babe, Jack!  Welcome to the world little one!

Of course we had to get some shots with the Christmas tree!  And by some miracle, we got a wonderful family picture with everyone looking at the camera and eyes open!  Even Jack!
