One thing that seems to have caught on in recent years is expectant couples finding creative ways to announce the gender of their baby.  Whether it’s opening a box of pink or blue balloons, or color coordinated cupcakes, I just love the suspense of the gender reveal!  My friends Brittany and Dave are expecting their first baby this February (I still can’t believe it!!) and their baby shower was this weekend!  The “Rock-A-Bye Baby” theme was so unique and so much fun, especially because Dave has such a love for music!  This was also the big day that we all got to find out if Baby Yost is a boy or a girl!  Well the new parents-to-be cut into the cake to find a layer of PINK icing….it’s a GIRL!!!  Wooooo!!!!!  I have to admit, my guess was that the baby was going to be a boy, but I guessed wrong!  It will be so exciting to meet their little rockstar, get the tutus and pink bows ready! :)

 

This weekend’s sessions include the Jordan family, who I love and adore!  And ironically my senior session with Brecken was actually a referral from the Jordan family, so I already knew Brecken was going to be awesome by association with the Jordan crew!  These were cold days to be outside shooting, but we pulled it off!  Just a few teasers for ya, more to come later this week!  HAPPY MONDAY!!!
