Diana & Steve – Maternity

I don’t know about you, but this Northeast Ohio rain thing is really cramping my style.  Summer is officially here, which in my book should mean minimal portrait sessions rained out.  And you can only reschedule a maternity session due to rain so many times until that bump session becomes a newborn baby session!  Diana and Steve are expecting their first little baby next month, and they are blessed with some awesome friends!  Their friend Jeanette contacted me months ago when Diana and Steve found out they were expecting and said she wanted to get them a gift card for a maternity session.  How sweet is that!!  Unfortunately professional portraits are oftentimes one of those things that get put on the back burner, and you end up going through milestones in life without capturing the moments that you can enjoy looking back at later.  I think that was such a thoughtful gift for Jeanette to give her friends, because now they can cherish these beautiful moments of anticipation and excitement leading up to their baby girl’s arrival!    Our first attempt at their maternity session was rained out, so we moved it to June.  Well the day of their session rolled around, and go figure they were calling for rain.  I had hope though!  Our hourly forecast showed a window of rain-free goodness right at the time of their shoot, so we went for it!  Well good thing we shot fast and the lovely couple didn’t mind doing a brisk walk/jog back to the car when we finished, because the clouds let loose after the last shutter click and we almost got ourselves soaked!!  Steve and Diana, thanks for being troopers and not letting those crazy storm clouds scare us off!  I personally think they made for a pretty sweet backdrop ;)  So glad we could make these memories happen….ENJOY!

Diana is obviously adorable :)

Don’t pay any attention to those crazy clouds creepin’ up on us…

Baby gladiators!!  Ack!

That’s a wrap!  Now run for the car!!!
