It was a freezing cold night in January when the three of us sat around Donnie’s kitchen table, getting to know each other and talking about their wedding day.  July felt like it was forever away, but here we are in June and their big day is right around the corner!  This might sound silly, but I always believe that every one of my bride and grooms – and every CKP client, really! – has been placed in my path as a part of God’s plan.  When you are shooting someone’s wedding day, you have the privilege of capturing some of the most important moments of their life, and I love getting to know all of my couples as friends on a level more personal than just their “wedding photographer.”  From the first time I met Jackie and Donnie, I knew this was meant to be!  They are such sweet spirits, and so open and honest.  They love the Lord, and I love that their relationship is built on the strongest foundation a marriage can have.  Jackie is simply beautiful, and I LOVE how goofy she and Donnie are together!  He can make his lady laugh, and that’s an important quality :)  These engagement portraits just might be some of my favorite I’ve ever taken – classic and clean, and an authentic reflection of Jackie and Donnie and their relationship.  Enjoy this lovely engagement session, and luckily you don’t have to wait long for their wedding pictures!
