Small Business Spotlight – All the Little Birds

Like most small business owners, Rachel started out with a little idea and a big dream, and 3 years later she has grown her business into an incredible part of the local community!  All the Little Birds is a parent/children program that allows little ones to socialize with each other and introduces them to music, sign language, arts and crafts, and every other fun thing you can think of!  My sister started taking my nephew to Rachel’s class back when she first started, and it has been so cool to see what the program has evolved into.  Parents all around the area love bringing their kids to ALB, and it’s easy to see why!  Not only do children get to meet new lil buddies, but it’s a great way for parents to meet new friends too!  I dropped in on one of Rachel’s morning classes last week and caught some of the action, these kids are just too cute!!  The parachute and bubble machine are always a crowd favorite, and it’s great to see how much fun these guys have with music and learning.

You can find All the Little Birds on Facebook and be sure to check out their website too!

So many people ask me if I was scared to start my own business, and of course I was, a little.  Will anyone show up??  Will I look ridiculous?? Yes and Yes.  However, I think I was far more scared not to follow up on this little seed of an idea that God had placed in my heart!

In September 2010, I started my first All the Little Birds Music Class in a small room at my church.  Ten kids made up my entire roster.  Three years later,  All the Little Birds is in its own space and we have over 100 families!

The primary function of   All the Little Birds  is FUN! We offer music, movement, and art classes for children newborn through age 5.  Each class is one hour, thirty minutes of group class time and thirty minutes of free play and socialization in the play area.  When you come to class at ALB, expect to meet awesome people, create art projects that you haven’t done before, participate in a music class with music that both adults and kids enjoy, and have your kids make a mess that you don’t have to worry about cleaning up!
