Pets are pretty much the same things as kids, right?  So when my friend Cara’s big furry Mastiff baby turned one year old, we thought it would only be fitting to celebrate her first birthday same as any normal human being would – by giving her free reign to shove her face in a personalized cake all for her and no obligation to be neat about it whatsoever.  I don’t know if Carly really got the idea we were going for here, but it was fun nonetheless.  Carly is a bit of a diva doggy, and so the pink boa, tiara, and fuchsia frosting were the obvious accessories to go with.
