I love surprises.  A good surprise honestly tops the list of my favorite things in life.  It could be an unexpected visit or a Dr. Pepper chapstick, if I didn’t see it coming then you just made my day.  I also love birthdays.  So when people plan surprise birthday parties, and I get to be in on them, just imagine for a second how that makes me feel.  I can barely keep my cool when it comes to surprise birthday parties.  They’re the greatest things ever!  All the guest’s family and friends in one place to celebrate their birthday and THEY HAVE NO IDEA!!

 

When Jodie asked me if I would be interested in shooting the surprise birthday party that she was planning for her dad’s girlfriend Janice, I didn’t even have to think twice!  And then she told me that it was going to be a full out Vegas themed par-tay, so UM YES I WANT IN ON THIS.  I had never met Janice before, but it was so exciting and such an honor to see all her closest friends and family members put this whole shindig together to celebrate HER!  Needless to say, she was shocked beyond belief to find out that the anniversary celebration she showed up to attend was actually her birthday party.  From the slot machine cake and Elvis cardboard cutout to the casino games and “cashier booth,” every detail was perfectly planned out to give Janice the best Vegas birthday you could have outside of Vegas!

 

Happy Birthday Janice, you are so incredibly loved by all your family and friends!  It was amazing to be in on this surprise, I hope you enjoy the memories for years to come!
