Whenever I write birthday blog posts for my nephews and niece, I always end up looking back at their past birthday sessions. Somehow you don’t notice them growing and getting older day by day, but when you look back over the years, it’s crazy how much they change in just one year! Today is sweet Michael’s 9th birthday, and this curly haired redhead nephew of mine is just becoming so grown up. He is the BEST big brother to all the littles, is smart as can be, and just so full of life and joy! He still climbs trees and swing sets like a monkey and makes me way too nervous with all his flips and tricks – nothing makes me sweat like “Hey Aunt Carlyn, watch this!” Why is it that they older they get, the more daring they become?! Happy 9th Birthday Michael Wesley, I love you!!!

He has Jessie’s beautiful smile and beautiful teeth!!!
Oh how I miss my little visits from him, he’d come across the yard to share something he made or found or did!!
That will always hold a very special place in my heart of him!
If we had company he would just come over and join in, he knew he was always a part of us. Fix a plate of food and join “Big” Mike!!!
