Mr. Michael….this sweet and silly redhead nephew of mine first made me an aunt, and TODAY he is celebrating his 7th birthday!  Gone is the baby chub and “little kid-ness,” now Michael is a kindergarten graduate losing all his baby teeth and getting so big and tall.  He is one smart cookie, and loves sharing all the things he learns at school!  He also loves helping take care of little miss Audrey, and younger brother James too.  Maybe that just comes naturally to firstborns (is that just a nicer way of saying older siblings are bossy?! :), but Michael really does love his role as big brother!

I got to hang out with Michael one-on-one at Firestone Park, and man did we have fun!  We wandered around the walking trails by the pond, laughing and skipping and being just plain goofy.  Michael’s laughter is contagious and his smile lights up his whole face; his joy and sweetness shine through no matter how old he gets.  We ended our evening at the Firestone playground, because nothing is better than monkey bars and hide-and-seek under the slides.  Happy Birthday sweet nephew of mine, I love you to pieces Michael!
