Every mama out there knows how quickly the time goes by with little ones. One minute they are a newborn wrapped up in your arms, and the next they are standing eye level with you and getting their younger siblings snacks and helping clean up messes. Photographs are such a powerful way for us to capture the season we are in with our families, and look back on to remember how it all felt. Life is busy for everyone, and it can be easy to push prioritizing family portraits onto the back burner, because who even has time to schedule it and clear the calendar and think about what to wear?!

I am so grateful that Shea decided to do this session with her and four kiddos. At her house, we even commented on how the months, then years go by and the photos didn’t happen and then that creeping sense of regret starts to nag at you. Every mama deserves to be IN the beautiful pictures with her kids! Shea has four little ones, each with their own vibrant personality, and it was clear from the minute I walked into their charming home in Salem OH that they adore her. The way they all gravitated toward her for cuddles – there’s just something magical about that connection between a mother and her children.

We hung out in the kitchen and dining room, and then took advantage of the beautiful October sunshine streaming through the front yard. Each kiddo got their share of snuggles with their mama, and the biggest smiles came through with Shea spinning and tickling and laughing with each one. Shea, I am so happy you *finally* got your family photos!! I hope you fill every nook and cranny of your home with prints from your session – frame them all!
