When you jet off to Jamaica to have a private wedding ceremony on an island with your closest loved ones, you might think that you’ve had the greatest adventure life could offer.  Meghan and Gene did just that last summer to celebrate their marriage, and lucky me got to tag along for the ride!  I have a feeling their best adventure is just beginning though, as they just welcomed the arrival of their son Wyatt Gene two weeks ago.  Meghan is truly superwoman, as she navigated a difficult pregnancy for 9 months, yet still remained so optimistic and positive throughout it all.  All she had to do was lay eyes on her son for the first time, and it was all worth it.  Gene and Meghan didn’t find out the gender of their baby beforehand, which I love!  It’s the best surprise.  They are home with their sweet boy, and as the weather is turning colder here in Ohio and the snow has started falling, it’s the perfect time to hibernate with their little cub.  When I arrived at the Mock household for their lifestyle newborn session, Baby Wyatt was just waking up from his nap. This little babe had his eyes wide open for almost his entire photoshoot!  I love seeing little ones with their eyes open!  We snuggled up on the couch with his big furry sister Carmella, who is head over heels for her new human.  She can’t get enough of this new little guy!  Of course Meghan infused her love for travel into Wyatt’s adventure themed nursery, with the sweetest little details and pops of color throughout.  Every detail is so intentional and thoughtful, which is no surprise.  Seeing Meghan and Gene become parents and the overwhelming love they have those this new tiny baby is just the best.  What a lucky little babe to get such incredible parents!

Mock family, I am so happy for you and this NEW adventure you are just beginning!  Parenthood is truly the best, and you two are rocking it already.  Welcome, Wyatt Gene!
