This right here is one of the best families you could ever meet. I love the Hammond crew! I am shooting Carly and Chandler’s wedding in just a few short weeks, and I CANNOT WAIT. It is going to be a heck of a celebration, that’s all I know! Between their engagement session and planning the details of their big day, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Carly’s family and they really are just the best. When Carly contacted me about giving a session to her mama for Mother’s Day/her birthday, I was thrilled! We picked a day on the calendar, but of course the week arrived and it was that crazy Ohio rain. Ugh! Work with me here Mother Nature! The afternoon was clear and cloudy, with the threat of a storm approaching later in the evening. I’m so glad my clients don’t mind when I am being too crazy, because I asked them if they’d be ok with going for it anyways despite the forecast, and they agreed! I always tell people, the clouds I can deal with, but rain is a different story. Cloudy filtered light is actually the most IDEAL situation for shooting…but rain is a bit inconvenient. We arrived at our location and worked double time to get our session in before the storm! These guys are rockstars! We snapped our last picture, and the walk back to the parking lot turned into a marathon as the torrential downpour began. Soaked to the bone!! No worries though, my camera was safely stored away! I hope the crazy rain made your family session even more memorable, thank you Hammonds for being so laid-back and fun-loving! If there’s any family that I could choose to go running and laughing in the rain with, it’s definitely you! :)
Bill and Judy have been married 27 years!
Carly and Chad are not twins, they just look very related.
(Please note the storm clouds approaching in the distance…)
I love these mugs!!
Ok this just cracks me up. Chad and Carly refer to their daddio as “Lil Bill” and like to smooch his head. Yes.
Judy is such a babe!
If anyone knows the Hammonds, they know their goofiness and love for fun. This is probably the one that will end up hanging on their living room wall.
carlyn–these are just so imaginative, expressive and catching the essence of my sister and her family. you are right–they are a wonderful family!!! i would have to make wallpaper of them–i couldn’t pick just one. i actually am ready to cry because they have captured the love of all 4 of these people. God has blessed us–and them–and YOU
