This year I had the privilege of being the official photographer for the Columbiana Street Fair, and when you get to say that your job is to photograph an awesome parade and Molnar’s cinnamon rolls and kids on a carousel, you know you’ve got it pretty good! This was the 127th annual street fair, a tradition that the city of Columbiana looks forward to all year. The weekend kicks off with a parade that involves half of Columbiana, and the other half that isn’t in the parade is on the sidelines watching and catching candy. After the parade wraps up, the celebration continues down the street where countless food vendors line the road and kids wait in line for the rides and laughter rings out through the air. A round of applause to The American Legion for sponsoring such a successful community event! You can find the Columbiana Street Fair on Facebook, as well as their website: http://www.columbianastreetfair.com/. Check back at their website soon, where you’ll be able to see all of the photos taken at the event this year!
Each year the Street Fair opens the festivities to local special needs children, who get a chance to enjoy the rides and lunch. You could tell these kids were having the time of their lives! Thanks to the American Legion for giving back to the community in such a special way!
A group of kids with Jacob Sevek, the chairman of the street fair! And his lovely wife Angie, who put just as much heart and hard work into the fair this year.
