Summer Family Session at University of Mount Union | Alliance OH | The Maxwell Family
When there is a location that plays such an important part of your story, it means so much to have photos taken there to forever look back on. For Megan and Ryan, University of Mount Union in Alliance, OH is that place. This is where their love story began, when they were both students on campus and Ryan spotted Megan and found a way to start a conversation with her. They began dating, even through the grad school years of being long distance, and now they have three boys together and are celebrating 12 years of marriage! Megan suggested walking around the beautiful college campus this year for their family photoshoot, and I loved this idea. As we roamed the campus, Ryan and Megan showed me the dorm where they both lived, the iconic Chapman Hall where many of their classes were, and even the lunchroom where Ryan recalled checking out Megan before they were dating yet 🤣 So special to take Colsen, Bennett, and Sawyer back to this important place in their family’s history. We had the entire campus to ourselves on this summer evening, and it should also be noted that just hours before we met up, it was a torrential downpour!!! We debated rescheduling, but decided to hold out and cross our fingers, and I’m so glad we did! The storm clouds passed and we had the most gorgeous blue skies and sunshine for this golden hour photoshoot.
Megan and Ryan, thank you for once again trusting me to capture your family’s legacy in photographs!! I know your boys (and you!) will LOVE looking back at these memories years down the road and reminiscing on when you two first laid eyes on each other during your college years.
