Lizzy and Kevin go together in the kind of way that just makes you smile.  Maybe because THEY are both such genuinely joyful people!  People that walk through life with an extra bounce in their step and a smile that stretches a little farther are my favorite kind of people to photograph.  You just can’t help but grin and laugh right along with them!  Get ready to meet one awesome couple on the blog today, I am so excited to share this sweet couple’s session with you!  This Cox Arboretum engagement session is full of summer sunshine and smiles!  Lizzy and Kevin share so much love and joy, you’ll be smiling along with them!

I love having the chance to photograph in new locations, and since Lizzy and Kevin live in Dayton, I was up for taking a little road trip to hang out with these guys for their engagement portraits!  This was my first time visiting the beautiful Cox Arboretum, and I could immediately see why Lizzy and Kevin picked this gorgeous location!  These two are nature lovers, and so many of their favorite dating adventures (and even Kevin’s proposal!) have taken place in the great outdoors.  We explored the many trails and fields surrounding the beautiful gardens and pond, and I got to hear all about their love story.  They first met in a small group at their church, getting to know each other as friends.  Eventually Kevin asked Lizzy out, and after their first date they knew this was something special!  They dated long distance while Kevin was finishing up school in Cincinnati, and built a solid foundation in their relationship during their time apart.  Kevin planned the perfect proposal to Lizzy last month, and now they are planning to tie the knot this December!  We are praying for a magical dusting of snow and temperatures above the subzero mark ;)  I am even more excited for their wedding day after spending time with them during their engagement session!  These two are so excited to begin their life together, and I cannot wait to see what adventures they embark on in the future!
