7 years ago, Freddy fell in love with Danyelle and knew that she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.  For the past 7 years, Freddy has pursued Danyelle, gained her trust, and proven to her how much he cares for her.  It took Danyelle about 6 years to realize what had been in front of her very eyes this whole time, but they started dating and knew that this was the beginning of something great for their lives.  Their love is built on a friendship like no other, and their trust is in a Savior like no other.  These things make for a love story unlike any other, and you need to hear them tell it in person if you get the chance :)

 

The ring was selected and Freddy had dinner with Dee’s dad last week to ask permission to marry his daughter.  Now all that was left was to set the stage and ask the question!  It should be noted that Freddy had strategically thrown his girlfriend off the scent of a proposal of any kind until the next year, so Danyelle was COMPLETELY unsuspecting!  Several years ago Danyelle traveled to Rome and got to experience all the wonders of the city, including the Trevi fountain.  She said how romantic she thought it would be to get engaged at the fountain, and Freddy remembered this detail from years ago.  It would be somewhat complicated to get to the REAL Trevi fountain to ask for her hand in marriage, so Freddy recreated the scene in the old youth room at church where he and Danyelle first met many years ago.  Following a strategic ploy to get them to the church, Danyelle walked into the room utterly shocked at the scene before her.  Following a candlelit path to the fountain, Freddy asked for her hand, and in between her tears and jumping and kisses….she said yes :)

 

CONGRATULATIONS to my wonderful friends, I cannot be any happier for you and am so honored to have been a part of this momentous occasion!  Such wonderful memories for you to cherish.  Love you Freddy and Danyelle!

At the Trevi fountain, it is custom to turn around and throw a euro over your left shoulder and make a wish.
